I officially submit the name The Chaiyonnara.

Thanks Zeeck. Let’s DO THIS.

I think this name is a perfect way to start things off. It’s fun and exciting and it says “lets have some chai tea latte” and also “YOU’RE ABOUT TO GET DRUNK N SHIT!”

I should also officially recognize the other names you submitted on google+:

 • The What Can Brown Do For You
 • The CinnaBooyah
 • The Polish Indian

The What Can Brown Do For You might have a big chance in this one. There is some clamoring out there from people who want all of these drinks to somehow relate to poo. They’re 1 for 1. COULD THEY BE 2 for 2!?

The Polish Indian I had to have explained to me. But once I did, I loved it. I think this and Chaiyonnara are our clear frontrunners here. In case anyone else needs to be keyed in: Chai is indian, vodka is polish. The one downfall: is vodka definitely more polish than it is russian? I don’t know.

CinnaBooyah is solid, but I have trouble ever saying “booyah”. I just feel like an idiot. You really gotta own it, and I can’t do it. But this isn’t about me. This is about you, JEREMY.

THIS IS A SOLID LIST. LET’S GET SOME MORE!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
This drink is officially called the Orange Poo-lius!
Congratulations to Glenn Boozan who originated this wonderful drink name. Glenn, as a prize, you have won the privilege of deciding what drink will be the subject of DRINKQUEST 3: STILL DRINKING ! You may use this privilege or bestow the honor on anyone you choose.
You might be thinking “hey, wait, DrinkQuest 3!? what about DrinkQuest 2?!?” Well, thank you for the perfect segue, Jeremy. You’re right! What ABOUT IT!?
DRINKQUEST 2: DRINKQUESTER will begin TODAY! RIGHT NOW!
I don’t have a photo of this one because I drank it so much I ran out of the ingredients and it’s raining so I can’t go to the grocery store like I planned today. BUT this drink is amazing.
I have mixed an Vodka Iced Chai Tea Latte with Cinnamon. And it’s incredible. The ingredients are Milk, Chai Tea Concentrate, Ice, Cinnamon, and Vodka. If you want to be more specific, I used Land-O-Lakes Fat Free Lactose Free Milk, Oregon Chai Tea Concentrate, CINNAMON, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. The ingredients are pictured below. SEND SUBMISSIONS FOR NAMES HERE.

Welcome to DrinkQuest!

Hello and welcome! DrinkQuest was a tag on my personal tumblr. NOW IT IS A WORLDWIDE SENSATION. That’s a lie. Always lie in all caps so it’s more believable.

I had so much fun creating a new drink and getting people to name it that I wanted to make it a regular thing. I love the idea of making tumblr as interactive as possible, and I would love to have fun naming cool drinks with many many people.

SO HERE’S THE DEAL (another lie). Below are reblogs of the first DrinkQuest. You can read the whole thing on this blog. This is what each DrinkQuest will be like. HOWEVER (giant lie) I still haven’t figured out who won the first one, how I’ll decide that, or what the winner will get (besides immortality (TRUE!)).

So help me! Respond to posts, use the ask feature to suggest drink names, use the submission page to send a drink idea or photo, and let’s make awesome drinks!

Also, if you wanna do something similar on your own and would rather not go through this blog, go for it! I’ll probably reblog you on here. Not that there are tons of followers here. BUT MAYBE THERE WILL BE SOON (prophecy).

Pulp Fiction
Penny Hardaway
Blood All Over (Based on ICE T talking about OJ on youtube, search “Ice-T on OJ Simpson”)

Thanks again, Travioli. Let’s JAM.

Pulp Fiction is pretty sweet. I’m sure the movie is relavant in like 8 million ways, and pulp is a perfect way to reference the OJ. Also the drink makes you feel kind of uneasy like the movie when you look at it, but then you drink it and you’re like OH SHIT THIS IS THE BOMB!

Penny Hardaway is MAD SOLID. Penny played for the Magic and the Heat, a team and city already established as important referents in DrinkQuest. Also both Miami and Orlando are in Florida, where oranges are from, and Penny Hardaway is an African America Athlete, like OJ Simpson. Furthermore, the color of the drink is much like that of a penny.

Blood All Over: I think this speaks for itself:

Next time that FBI agent calls me to ask me how well I “really” know my own father, I’m gonna say “uh, pretty fucking well, FBI Frank, did you see DrinkQuest on my blog?” and when he’s like “there’s no possible way my name would actually be FBI Frank” I’ll be like “Oh, really? How well do you really know your own name, FBI Frank?”
Your move, FBI.

The OJ Pekoe

Thanks, A. Let’s SPIT.

This is probably the most intelligent suggestion so far.

For those unaware, Pekoe refers to Orange Pekoe, a type of black tea. Of course the “Orange” in Orange Pekoe makes it a worthy reference but does not in any way refer to an orange flavor. Thus, a supplemental “OJ” is suffixed to the name. Brilliant.

My only concern is that the name almost outdoes the drink. The name is worthy of a drink consumed exclusively by the elite. I don’t know if that’s what this drink is.

If I didn’t know any better, judging by the cleverness of the title, your implied knowledge that I am a tea man, and the implication that you yourself are one, I’d guess “Anonymous” is none other than my own father.

The Black And Yellow

THIS IS AWESOME.

Except for one thing. It doesn’t really differentiate itself from the Arnold Palmer, which is also a mixture of black tea, and yellow juice (or ade, rather). Also, for every positive feeling I have about that song, I have an equally intense negative feeling about it as well.

THIS DRINK IS A MIXTURE BUT IT HAS NO ROOM FOR MIXED FEELINGS!

The Ornald Balmer (Or Bomber)
The Citrus Mistress
OrangeCHOOSE

Thanks K-Pax. Let’s dance.

These all pack a punch that’s rivaled by few, if any. They score extremely high on the Badass Scale™, and the Fun-To-Say Scale®.

The Ornald Balmer just makes me wanna drink it right now. I’ll add the suggestion that it’s spelled and pronounced “Balmer” when virgin and “Bomber” when alcoholic.

The Citrus Mistress is beautiful.

OrangeCHOOSE - should this be pronounced like the word “choose”, or does it rhyme with “juice”? This is important to my understanding and analysis.

Orenthal Palmer, duh

Thanks, Ryan! LET’S POST UP!

This is one of the few suggestions so far that really feels like a bullseye. If the decision is to somehow combine names for a direct approach, there’s no way this could be beat. I don’t even have to analyze it or comment on it. There’s nothing else to say. Bravo.
